Supercharger navigation, Autopilot, the app, the touchscreen — a quick guide to getting the most out of your Jet Set EV rental from day one.

Never driven a Tesla before? No worries. Within five minutes you'll feel completely at home. Here's a quick rundown of everything you need to know before you pull out of the Supercharger.

Finding a Supercharger — It's Built Right In

You don't need the app or Google Maps to find a charger. The car already knows where every Supercharger is.

Here's how: tap once anywhere on the touchscreen to wake it up, then press the charger icon (it looks like a lightning bolt). The map will instantly show you every nearby Supercharger with real-time availability — how many stalls are open, how far away it is, and how long it'll take to charge.

When you set a destination that's beyond your current range, the car will automatically route you through a Supercharger stop and tell you exactly which station to stop at, how long to charge, and when to continue. You don't have to think about it.

**Always use navigation on longer trips.** If you drive without a destination entered and stray too far from a Supercharger, you could find yourself out of range with no station nearby. Bypassing the navigation is the most common way renters end up stranded — the Tesla network is well-covered along the Treasure Coast, but gaps exist once you venture further inland or off the main corridors. Let the car guide you on any trip over 30–40 miles.

**Important:** Keep your battery above 10% at all times. If the vehicle shuts down due to a depleted battery, a $250 fee applies plus any towing costs. The car will warn you well in advance — just don't ignore it.

Autopilot — How to Turn It On

Tesla Autopilot is one of the best driver assistance systems on the road. On highways and long stretches of road, it handles steering, speed, and following distance so you can relax.

To engage it:

1. Get up to highway speed

2. Pull the gear stalk (the right-side stalk) toward you twice quickly

3. The steering wheel icon on the instrument cluster will turn blue — you're on Autopilot

To adjust your following distance or speed, use the scroll wheel on the left side of the steering wheel. To disengage, just tap the brake or grab the wheel firmly.

**Note:** Autopilot is a driver assistance feature — keep your hands lightly on the wheel and eyes on the road at all times. The car will remind you if it doesn't detect your hands.

The Tesla App — Your Remote Control

Download the Tesla app before your rental begins. Once you're linked to the vehicle, you can:

  • **See battery level and range** from anywhere
  • **Pre-condition the cabin** — cool it down before you get in on a hot Florida day
  • **Lock and unlock** the car remotely
  • **Honk the horn or flash the lights** to find it in a parking lot
  • **Monitor charging** in real time when plugged in

Ask your Jet Set EV agent to link your phone to the vehicle at pickup — it takes about 60 seconds.

The Touchscreen — Key Things to Know

The large center screen controls almost everything. A few things worth knowing:

  • **Climate:** Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the climate controls. You can set temperature, fan speed, and seat heating all from here.
  • **Music & Media:** Tap the music icon at the bottom. Spotify, Apple Music, and TuneIn Radio are all built in.
  • **Rear Camera:** Automatically activates when you shift into reverse. You can also access it manually from the camera icon.
  • **Sentry Mode:** The car's exterior cameras are always active when parked. This is how Jet Set EV monitors the vehicle — do not attempt to disable it.

Charging Etiquette

  • Pull all the way into the Supercharger stall before plugging in
  • The charge port is on the rear left of the vehicle — press the button on the charge handle or tap the charge port icon on the screen to open it
  • Unplug by pressing the button on the handle — don't yank it
  • Move the car once you're done charging if the station is busy — idle fees apply after the session ends

Returning the Vehicle

Return with at least 20% charge. A $35 recharging fee applies if you return below that. A quick 10-minute Supercharger stop before return is all it takes.

You can also add our **Prepay Charging option for $25** at booking. This lowers the return requirement to just 10% or more, so you don't have to stress about finding a charger right before drop-off. Just keep in mind this only covers the return top-up — any charging you do during the trip is still on you.
